FAQ

How would you describe your wedding photography style?

A cross between creative storytelling and documentary. We are always looking for candid moments and approach our wedding photography as storytelling instead of just a random collection of photos. However, we also put a lot of energy and time into your “creative portraits,” which are the photos of just the two of you. We look for interesting light, angles and backgrounds, and often use unusual, experimental techniques to turn your wedding portraits into works of art.

Do you photograph destination weddings?

We are happy to come to your town or meet you at a fabulous destination of your choice. Our destination wedding photography packages are simply our standard packages plus the cost of travel and reasonable accommodations if necessary. Please contact us for specific information.

Will there be a second photographer?

We always have at least two photographers at each wedding. The second photographer is responsible for shooting the groom getting ready, all details, providing a second angle on the ceremony and reception, and assisting the lead photographer with off-camera lighting for creative portraits.

Can I give you a list of specific shots we would like?

Please do! if there are certain photos that you must have, Best example is that one photo that has been re-created in all the family weddings, etc. Family is a big part of most weddings. This is one of those special few days when everyone is together, dressed up, and happy. It is THE perfect opportunity for family portraits. We discuss these before your wedding day and create a list of groupings you want captured. These can be formal portraits in a church or at your ceremony site or more relaxed photos taken in a location you pick.

How will my photos be delivered?

Your photos will be delivered in a digital download. This is a great option because you will have access to your photos immediately after post-production is finished. After downloading your images, you will have the ability to put them on as many flash drives as you would like.

How many photos will I receive?

You will receive 50- 75 images per hour, with a maximum of 600 images. Your photographer will take an unlimited amount of photos throughout your wedding day, but afterward, they will select the highest quality images to give a full representation of your day

Do I have to order prints through you?

Wedding packages all incluce digital files, an online gallery and a print release that will allow you to obtain prints at a location of your choice, however for your convenience, we do offer prints through our professional print shop to perfectly suit your needs.

Can I extend the session on the day of?

We dedicate the entire day to your wedding, so we won’t have other plans for that evening. However, we need to charge for additional coverage primarily because there are additional costs of having the team stay for additional hours. The lighting assistants and second shooters all require additional compensation. Furthermore, the additional photos taken all need to be post produced, adding to our overall costs.

How long does it take to receive my wedding photographs?

Every wedding is different, but you’ll generally receive your finished photographs in about four weeks. Editing takes longer during the busy months of March-May and October-December.
