28 to 32 weeks is perfect for most moms to be. This is a time frame where your beautiful belly is of ample size yet you’re not as “puffy” and uncomfortable as you may be in your last 4 to 6 weeks. Though we have shot maternity sessions up close to delivery with beautiful results, feedback from expecting moms has encouraged us to advise clients towards the earlier side where mamas-to-be are feeling their best and are more comfortable than they may be later.
Be sure to plan ahead and secure a spot early, as Holly typically books out 12 to 20 weeks in advance.
We understand that you may be concerned about stretch marks and feel a little bigger all over, so removing any blemishes, including stretch marks and slimming you down a little in areas where needed through flattering poses, camera angle and expert retouching skills are all complimentary as part of your session. Just let me know what your concern is and I’ll take care of it for you.
We primarily shoot on location. If you don’t have a particular location in mind, I have many favorite spots and am happy to suggest one. A small travel fee would apply to a location beyond 30 miles from my office.
The short answer is no. We shoot many frames to ensure we have captured the best from the time in our session. Trust us, you do not want to go through all the images because there are hundreds! We will do that for you. As you can imagine, many factors play a role in selecting the images we edit and include in your gallery and this is where our expertise shines. Only the absolute best of the best make it. These images will be fully edited, cropped, and prepared for final presentation. Unedited images are not shown or provided.
To accommodate new clients, unordered images will be purged 30 days after your session. Ordered images will be archived in our system for 1 year.
Of course! Partners are always welcome, and children are encouraged to participate in your maternity session as well. Not only is this a special time in your life, but theirs as well.
